I started out buying a building lot on Caraubus Beach close to Dave Beckham's proposed resort via internet photos because I thought it would be a good investment. I did this through Mike Smith and his wife after his services were recommended in International Living magazine.
When I visited the plot, I thought the area so attractive that I also bought a house on the beach in nearby Maracajau, a beautiful traditional fishing village. I'm a water sports fan so the idea of owning property on the beach has always appealed to me.

And the Smith's have continued their fine assistance by helping to rent my house, paying electricity bills and taxes as well as by arranging for a cleaning lady to keep the property in good order while I am not there.
